There are numerous tavernas and souvenir shops to explore and a couple of small supermarkets selling day to day groceries including fresh produce. Skala Prinos also offers two beautiful sandy beaches and to the south of the port there is a boat builders yard which still works in a traditional style. Following on there is also another long stretch of beach called Dasilio, here you can find a picnic area under the shade of tall pine trees and there are a few tavernas in close proximity. Scuba diving is also available in the area. It is worth noting that you may have to park a little way out to the south of the harbour as parking is premium nearer to the busy port. There is no bank in Skala Prinos but a cash machine can be found to the right of the ferry port close to the ticket offices.

The market starts around 08:00 am and the last sellers leave at 13:00-14:00 pm.
Behind Prinos you will find Kazaviti which is divided into Mikros and Megalos Kazaviti (also known as Mikros and Megalos Prinos), the villages consist of beautiful restored stone houses and are well worth a visit if you have the time.
