Personal information / driver’s information

In the process of booking, hiring or selling a car, the following personal data is requested from the customer / driver of the vehicle being rented out: name, date and place of birth, VAT number, driving license number, date of issue / expiry date, country of issue, passport or identity card number, issue date / expiry date, country it is issued in, email address, mobile phone number and hotel / residence address in Greece.

In case of an accident or other road traffic offense codes, you will also be asked to send a photograph / copy of the driver's license and in some cases, some personal/sensitive information regarding the health condition of the driver which must be forwarded to the insurance company or the competent authorities.

The personal information above, is collected either in writing and sending it off via mail, filling in a form on our website, by calling to or from the telephone booking center, from the customer service, from the emergency road assistance, communicating with customers, interacting with the various beneficiaries and branches including other businesses.

Rental details

When signing a contract with Potos Car Rentals, the following items are included in the lease:

The reservation contact / way, the rental / return location, the rental duration, the customer’s ID, the payment card information, the details of any additional drivers, the insurance coverage options, additional services and charges.

Technological Information / Cookies

When you visit our site, we automatically collect information anonymously by using 'Cookies'. Cookies can also affect ads you see on the internet, to be more relevant to your interests. The data collected are the following:

Connection speed, IP address, ID device, operating system, browser type, IDs of mobile device, geographic area, date and time, features you use on our site and any reservations, updates, forms, or other transactions through our site.

Our goals

We use your personal information to provide you with our services or the products you have requested from us, including charges, collecting and saving our clients’ details after renting with us. At the same time, with your consent only, we may use your personal information to provide you with marketing information, customer satisfaction surveys or an evaluation on our services and offers by various means, including emails and SMS messages, according to the applicable law.
