Get around Golden Beach

Golden Beach is famous for its lovely, long, sandy beach and its stunning surroundings. It attracts many individual travellers as well as families. Some of the most luxurious hotels, a few even boasting fantastic infinity pools, are located here. The area offers breathtaking views of Ypsarion Mountain and the Aegean Sea. The village also hosts plenty of fish restaurants and taverns which offer an amazing dining experience. Beach bars, umbrellas etc and water sports are available for ultimate beach fun. Apart from hotels and studios, there is also a campsite in the area. For the little ones, there is a fun train which drives you from Golden Beach to Skala Potamia.

The next coastal settlement to Golden Beach is Skala Potamia which is actually at the other end of the continued bay. Skala Potamia is also a very attractive village, with many hotels, villas, rooms, studios, shops and restaurants. These areas are connected both by road and a wonderful beach walk.

The nearest mountain village to Golden Beach is Panagia which has similar architecture to Theologos. Beautiful, traditional, stone houses, narrow, paved alleys and fresh water springs create a fairytale atmosphere. Another quaint mountain village, found nearby, is Potamia, where you can visit the famous art museum of Polignotos Vagis.

Close to Golden beach are the popular Marble Beach (Saliara) and Vathi beach, which are located along a coastal path about 7 kilometres away (approximately 30 minutes driving time). Both places get crowded in the summer but a visit to admire and enjoy the turquoise waters and take a selfie is definitely worth it. Please note the path to Vathi and Marble beach is a non-asphalt road.
